Realism in video games has left a sour taste in many gamers’ mouths on more than one occasion in this console generation. People who had fought tooth-and-nail to get some sense of reality in their games were now wondering why their characters had to suddenly take their friends out for a game of bowling anytime they called just to keep them happy (Shame on you if the reference went unrecognized).... more. -

PS3 Bug: Sony Says Don’t Turn on System Until Fixed

UPDATE: This problem has now been fixed. Sony has announced that all PlayStation units affected by this bug (that's every unit other than the new Slim model) should be working properly. Ubisoft Announces Record First Week Numbers for Assassin’s Creed II

On November 24th, Ubisoft released its own internal numbers suggesting that Assassin's Creed II sold over 1.6 million units worldwide in only its first week. This is around a 32% sales increase over 2007's original Assassin's Creed, which sold just over 1 million copies.
